Tthe Cooks Tour of Moorestown will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015! This annual event and holiday tradition will return for its 52nd year, featuring four beautifully decorated homes to ring in the holiday season!
Event proceeds support new radiation oncology equipment at Virtua Memorial, a non-profit regional medical center located in Mt. Holly. With your help, Virtua will purchase a stereotactic radiosurgery system that delivers a precise form of radiation to treat small tumors of the brain as well as other brain abnormalities. This new technology will expand cancer treatment options at Virtua Memorial, enabling patients to stay close to home during treatments.
The Cooks Tour was started in 1962 by the Curtis Auxiliary, an all-volunteer organization founded by a group of Moorestown women. It was named in honor of Dr. Howard M. Curtis, a pediatrician at what is now known as Virtua Memorial. Over time, other auxiliaries were established throughout the region to form the Virtua Board to Virtua Memorial. Today, this board works together along with many community volunteers to host the annual Cooks Tour.
